autoexec.nt may be missing from /windows/system32

there ought to be a copy in another windows sub-directory
[maybe called /repair]

I do know, that copying this file from there into the system32 directory fixed this problem for at least one other person

It is odd, because this file mysteriously disappears from time to time...??

Yes. I also lost this file at one point. You can download another copy of the file online. I think microsoft has a help page.

aha... here it is.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;324767

Hi

I had the same problem as skoony, and copying the autoexec.nt from the repair directory back into system32 directory worked for me.

Thanks all
