Hi,

Jonny 2.75 is ready for download now.
Overview over the most important changes:

bugfixes:
- sometimes Jonny could hang in enginematches under xboard; this might be also relevant for other GUIs like Winboard, Arena or Fritz.
- Jonny now identifies with "Jonny x.xx" (x.xx: version) to the GUI

changes in chess:
- changed some internal parameters
- fixed little bug in selectivity
- slightly improved nullmove treatment
- chess knowledge improved/implemented:
- activity of bishops
- rooks in the middle of the board (easy to capture...)
- knowledge for some special endgames

I dont want to say to much about rating improvement, but based on my
own and tests from other people (thanks!) I expect at least a
"measureable" result.

download under:
http://cipinf2.cip.uni-bayreuth.de/~jonnycomp/jonny275_win_amd.zip(AMD)

http://cipinf2.cip.uni-bayreuth.de/~jonnycomp/jonny275_win_intel.zip(Intel)

Hello Johannes,

This is great news and I would like to say thank you for releasing your promising young engine!
I only regret that, because of my own rules, I can't include it immediately in my running tournament where version 2.70 just drew with Ruffian and has 2 points out of 4 games.

Best wishes,
