I'm just a chess player, I do not have much computer skills, my problem is I have ProDeo downloaded but the Personality files are saved as Bookup files(I no longer have bookup), it is the . ENG files. I was wondering what file type they should be and what is used to open them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The file type is still the same, what you mean is just what program
is now supposed to open it in your OS.
(BTW if some files are still shown as type of a prog you have already
deinstalled, the deinstallation is uncomplete)

and what is used to open them.

Every file which is supposed to be changed by a user, normally
is a plain text (ascii) file, which can be opened by any editor,
like textpad, notepad, wordpad or advanced editors like UltraEdit etc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
