Hi,

Any chance for a version that works in the fritz8 gui with wb2uci? The latest version 1.85 does not exit memory in that interface.

Do you know the following entry in ?Wb2Uci.eng??
Code: Select all
TerminateHard = true
; In WIN XP or Win NT  TerminateHard = true

Doesn?t this work?

Hi,
The "TerminateHard = true" does remove the program from memory. But that seems to be the tip of the iceberg in this case.

It seems that knightx "loses contact" with the interface fritz8 somewheres in the middle of the game, around moves 35-42, in harmless positions. The task manager shows no processing by knightx at that point. It has done this three times and therefore loses on time and probably stays in memory as reported before unless kicked out by "TerminateHard".

I made today an uci version of Knightx.
I tested it under the Arena interface. it seems to work.
This is a minimal implementation of the protocol. You can just play a game and you can't go back one move in a game.
Tournaments are possible.
If anyone is interested to test it, I can send him the version by mail.
