pre-1971 pgn collection

I put together a collection of games from 1834 through 1970. That's right, 1834. It's not a misprint. A perfect addition to your e-library.
About 54K games with some from each of the greats. The hard thing about putting this collection together was figuring out how to convert chessbase format to pgn format because that was what many of the games had been saved in. Actually it turned out to be very easy using the fritz8 gui. If there is interest, I will explain how.
I used 1970 as the cutoff because that is when FIDE elo ratings started. If you see an elo rating in a pre-1970 game, it is obviously a virtual elo (except that uscf used their elos in the 1960s).
It can be downloaded from Peter Skinner's crafty-chess.com site. It is called classic.zip.
