ics.ini

Postby Francois Dongier » 09 May 2005, 14:06

I would like to use the ics.ini file to do a number of things automatically when I logon. I didn't find much documentation on it in the Winboard help. Is there any more info available somewhere?
For instance, how do you put a comment in this file? I tried to put a ";" in front of comments, but it doesn't quite work.
Also, if the file contains a successful tell statement, i get a message saying that there is a 2 second communication delay. Where does this come from? Can it be disabled?

Thanks if you can help...

You can not put comments in the file. Winboard simply parses thru the file line by line and sends the line as a command to the ICS server. The 2 second delay comes from FICS server as you must be logged in as a guest and tells by guests are delayed 2 seconds due to abuse in the past.
