Hi all,
Spike had a problem with analyzing games in UCI-Mode.
The bugfixed version of Spike is now available for download.
Best wishes

I have had a problem with Spike under Winboard - it rejected a legal move from Arasan during a match.
The partial game is as follows:
[Event "?"]
[Site "-"]
[Date "2005.08.18"]
[Round "?"]
[White "Arasan 9.0"]
[Black "Spike 1.0 Mainz"]
[Result "*"]
[ECO "C98"]
[TimeControl "300+10"]
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 Nf6 5. O-O Be7 6. Re1 b5 7. Bb3
d6 8. c3 O-O 9. h3 Na5 10. Bc2 c5 11. d4 Qc7 12. Nbd2 Nc6 13. d5 Na5
14. Nf1 c4 15. b4 cxb3 16. axb3 Nb7 17. Qd3 Nh5 18. Bd2 f5 19. Qe2
Nf6 20. Ne3 Nxe4 21. Nxf5 Bxf5 22. Bxe4 Bxe4 23. Qxe4 Nc5 24. Qc2 e4

30. Kh2 Qf2+ 31. Kh1 *
Kh1 was the move rejected as illegal.

Have you played with ponder=on under the GUI "Winboard"?

I thought I saved the log but then I couldn't find it. I did look at it and it was clear that Spike was rejecting the move.
I did have ponder=on on a dual-processor machine, and this is under the winboard GUI.

I think I saw the same happen here a few times, I have send the logfile to Volker and Ralf.
Best wishes,

That are good news allowing the people to
thoroughly test your engine. Otherwisw its
very annoying to get new versions every week.
Best regards

Hallo Kurt,
Was h?lst Du so von Spike?
Also ich mu? sagen das Engine spielt ein sehr gutes Schach.
Meine Sch?tzung ist das sich Spike in der Spitze plazieren wird.
