Hi Pablo,

Book support isn't, I think implemented in St Andersen. I had a quick look
through the sorce code, the function's there but it doesn't seem to
do anything. The command is here to create an opening book >

type >

standerson-131c -

You will see >

StAndersen parameters:
[-h n] - sets the size of the hashtable n=1..10
[-easy] - sets pondering off
[-createbook file] - creates an openingbook from file and writes it to
StAndersen.obk

The file format to create a book from text file is (according to src) >

Eco Name Moves
---------------------------
C00 [French defence] e4 e6

I tried it but couldn't get it to write an opening book.

You'll have to stick with Bookthinker for this one I think, Pablo.

regards,
Jim.

Jim is right, you cannot create books for StAndersen, nor
would it use one. The readme and the command line parameters
are obsolete here.
IIRC it was planned to have book support in StAndersen but it
did not make it towards any release.
The author of StAndersen does the book stuff though
now for Benny Antonssons Alarm :)

Best,
Guenther

@Pablo: you save some time if you check Leos engine infos.
The info here is in 99% correct, even if a readme tries to say
different ;)
