Display more candidate moves?

I am wondering if an engine running in winboard is capable of displaying more than one move with exact evaluation, you can see what I mean here:

I looked around on the net to see info on this regarding crafty, not finding anything. I know that displaying more moves means more and different calculations (engine must find the exact evaluation of a move instead of just proving that the move is inferior to the currently best). On the other hand, when a human user is making an analysis tree for deep analysis of a position, all plausible candidate moves must be taken into consideration (disregarding alpha beta).

Is it possible to make an engine running in winboard display more than one evaluated move, for instance, the 5 moves with highest current evaluation?

If it is, can a user dynamically change the number of displayed moves?

Yes it's not possible with wb2, but it will be possible with the upcoming wb3 protocol.

Best,
