what can be done by batch files

Postby Uri Blass » 25 Sep 2005, 15:12

I know that I can run nunn match between engines by batch files and my question is if there is a limitation for what I can do by batch files or everything that can be done manually can be done by batch file.

Suppose you want to analyze position A for 3 hours with engine A and save the analysis and later analyze position B for 2 hours with engine B and save the analysis.

Can it be done by a batch file?
If it can be done by a batch file then what batch file is needed.

Suppose that I want to play a match between engine A and engine B when both engine used fixed time for every move(the fixed time does not have to be one number and it can be different number for different moves based on a sequence of numbers.

It can be done manually by using very long time control so the engines will play only when I stop them and telling the engine play now after the relevant time passed.

The question again is if it can be done by a batch file.
