PGN tool request

Does a tool exist, which cuts games in PGN files at a certain ply _without_
removing the comments? (Yace with the cadiz_pgn command would remove
the comments otherwise it would solve the task)

Gabriel,

if you are looking for features to add -

Games which match a specified position (or ideally for me - match positions in a file and create seperate PGN files for each position (pgnfoundnn.pgn?))

All the best

Shaun

Hi Gabriel,

I have another wish :)

It would be nice to have a feature which detects (part-)doubles for specified
length in plies and output them all in a new pgn file.
(Example -d(ouble) 30 should find all games which have at least one double
until ply 30)

So far no program can do this and I use Spikes book builder for
a workaround so far, because it can at least identify them.
(But doesn't export the results)

Best regards,
Guenther

Hi Guenther

Technically, it is also based on the recognition of position. For that, i have to implement some hashing calculation (as for hashtables).
Anyway, i note that in my 'to do' chapter for the further release :D . Thanks.

best regards
