Hello,

I want to thank you Gabriel for this new version and also ask you if you change the ELO code for this version, because I got different results analyzing the same pgn (more than 17000 games) with v 0.35 and v 0.40. I'd say that v 0.35 is more accurate in that matter, but maybe I am wrong.

Regards,
Carlos

You are right. I was talking about elo calculation last week on "Le Fou num?rique", and I had mentioned that the problem of very strong players vs very weak players could distort the oveall rating in certain cases. This is why I've thought to add the rule of the 300 points used in the chess french federation calculation in order to measure the effects of that rule. In fact, it seems to be marginal. But I have forgotten to remove it or to let the user chose to activate it or not. So I will release this week another version of PgnScanner that will give this possibility and that also will correct some other bugs detected :)

Best Regard,

Hi Shaun,

The 0.50 release is out and it has a little fix for the fepd command (find epd <=> pgn)
