It was announced at CCC before, but it is now a fully working Winboard engine. The author is Mark Ainsworth from the UK.

Will you each time now a new version of a program appears ask the author
the same question? What about email or simply downloading the program
and reading the readme?

I have the impression your only interest here is to lead traffic to your site
and to promote your commercial tablebase offers.

BTW your tablebase tests seem very inprecise too. You have programs
listed which don't use tablebases at all... May be you are fooled by the
GUIs access to tablebases. It is unclear how and what you did test anyway.

Moreover most of the content of your site is not very informative and
reminds me just as copying the headers of some more scientific
information about the topics you choose.

I used the debug window in Arena for the most part. To see what was going on if an engine was being restarted.

I only ask about an engine I do not know of previously.

The post could have included a readme could it not?

Hello Vegan,

It is kind of rough and tumble out here in the Winboard wilderness. These engines and the gui in fact are provided free for our enjoyment.

After debugging, testing, getting the darn thing to play chess and debugging, I really do not think it is too much to ask that you download the thing and test it.

Including a readme? Please!

It is the "work" of seconds to find out what you need.

Later.

I am not sure if you guys are aware, Mainsworthy has time management issues. It loses on time in 1min+1sec and 2+0 time control. The programmer is aware of the problem.

hello , Ive been re-editing the Mainsworthy Program, and have speeded it up so much the 1min 1sec time controls now are made, on my PC anyway, its a work around as its so fast time dosnt matter, I will now work on a deep version.

Hope Oliver this Version is of better use, it plays differently also.
