Hi Gerhard,

I didn't recognize your nickname here. Happy New Year!

I think you should promote your FACE tournaments more. I wonder how many people are aware of them?

Gerhard's FACE Tournament:

I think that 'FACE' stands for: Freely Available Chess Engines

Hello Ron

many, many years ago our son gave my the nickname "hirdelgird", about more than 20 years later I remember that and like to use it again

FACE = Free Available Chess Engines
... you know my english is a bad one, you say Freely Available Chess Engines, is this the more better grammar?

At the entry side of the tournament there is shown about 600 visitors, hopefully when I post more often results more people will visit.

Any suggestions to make the tournaments more acttractive are welcome

You could broadcast the games, like Chess War, when the machine you play them on has an internet connection.

Yes it would be great :)

The main issue it that games played with Arena books cannot be broadcasted (games under Arena with ownbooks are OK).

I tried the site and got this result:
Network Timeout
The server at fireflychess.dyndns.org is taking too long to respond.

Maybe the site is not ready yet?

Hi Ron

Actually the FireFly website is available only when Andrew himself is online.
