Can you please tell me what software you are using and where to find binaries (windows preferently), or as an ultimate resource *nix source code.

Is this a recent version?

Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Be careful, as there are now two completely different pieces of software that both go under the name 'Chessd'. The more recent one is not FICS compatible at all. It is an html browser-based server, which will not work with WinBoard.

I am using the Lasker-2.2.3 version of Chessd, which I found here: http://chess.samba.org/ (use the tarball link in this page). I am actually using a modified version of it, but these modifications only pertain to playing of Chess variants, and probably do not interest you.

It is in source code, and I only could compile and run it under Linux.
