5.4C is out.

The parallel search has been re-written. This should resolve the performance issues that happen when more cores are used.

Other changes include:

Passive version
- re-write of the king safety evaluation code
- corrected the issue with handling KBPKP endgames

Inert version
- corrected the issue with evaluating several drawish endgame positions

Enjoy everyone...

That is a private version and is not intended for public use.

I'm still working on a number of things before the engines are ready for general use.

Btw, the TinySeal is new. It is much more efficient again. Only 4K, and uses up very little CPU and memory. For connecting to FICS with WinBoard or Arena, you can replace your TimeSeal.exe (48K) with this one.

I apologize, Kerwin (and Lance), I saw the link in the Public SkyDrive folder next to the 5.4C version and had thought it would be ok to announce it. I won't mention anything about Thinker versions any more.

There is no harm in downloading the file. Its just that it is not an official release. It is not tested thoroughly and most changes are experimental. Its OK to tell users about it. They just have to be also informed about the status of that build.
