Can anybody get Tiffanys 0.4 to work?

I'd like to run Tiffanys 0.4 without its own board, as an engine under ChessGUI or Fritz. No luck with working out how to do it yet.
Can anybody help?

Cheers, Graham.

Hi Graham

You need to add xboard as a command line option.

Hi Olivier. I tried that, but I'm obviously doing something wrong. If you have an engine folder that works, could you please zip it and post it in the CCRL public forum for me?

Cheers, Graham.

Hi Graham

I am using last Jim's compile and it is working here out of the box. Tested under Winboard only.

I can't get it working. Have you made an ini file for it? Perhaps you could post the contents of the ini file here for me.
I'll try to use it as a Winboard engine under ChessGUI for a start.

No ini file at all. I have just unzipped Jim's compile and it worked

Okay. Thanks for trying to help. I'll see if Matthias can get it to work under ChessGUI. It's looking like I might have to give this engine a miss.

Graham.

Hello Graham,

Apart from putting xboard on the commandline, it should be noted that you should use moves per time period as the timecontrol.

It works here. Winboard tested only but ChessGUi should be alright too.

Later.

Thanks Roger. I'll take another look later today. I really can't see what I'm doing wrong, because I'm familiar with the xboard command and I only use x moves in y minutes time controls. I'll see how Matthias gets on.

Cheers, Graham.
