Hello,

I can't get it work. I'd like WB to save the engine name in the PGN file in the form of e.g. "Crafty 23.0 64-bit 2CPU" but it saves it as Crafty-23.0 (the exe name). I thought the /myname tag in WB ini did the trick but it does not seem to work. Give me a hint please.

The engines can set their own name by feature myname="...". There is no way to overrule that with user options.

In PSWBTM you can install an engine under any name you like, but this is only because PSWBTM edits the PGN white and black tags in the file that WinBoard saved after the game.
