Game Analyser v1.6 released

Postby Thomas McBurney » 20 Sep 2009, 06:02

Download from web page: http://home.pacific.net.au/~tommyinoz/gameanalyser.html

I have made the following changes to Game Analyser:

1. Fixed 'File not found' bug when exiting Game Analyser.
2. Modified the way search worked so that you can type in two players names to find games they played against each other.
3. You can now right click on a pgn file and select 'Open with...' and then choose GameAnalyser.
4. Added the ability to scan pgn files for simple blunders like queen sacrifices, missed mates etc.

Cheers,
Tom

G'day, Tom!

I hope you don't mind, but I listed the Game Analyser update 2 days ago

Game Analyser is such a valuable program that I keep a close eye on your web site! Thanks for giving us engine writers such a great tool.

G'day Ron!

I have no problem with you announcing the new version of Game Analyser. In fact, I was meant to do it myself two days ago, but due to my excellent procrastination skills, I just didn't bother until today. I'm glad you find it useful because it's funny that Game Analyser was originally just going to be a command line program that spat out a text file with positions of interest. It has grown somewhat since then.

Cheers,
Tom.
