Retirement

Dear readers!
In the next days I'm going to celebrate my 50th birthday. That reminds me that I founded this forum
more than ten years ago. Since then I was almost all the time somehow involved in the moderation or
administration of it. I think that is long enough and therefore I hereby retire.
I will still read and post from time to time but not as an "official" any longer.

Hello Volker,
Words fail.
Please be well my friend and as Olivier said, this is always home.

Volker, compared to me you are so young and full of energy.
Nevertheless there a lot seems to be left to be experienced in this world.
Have fun and thank you very much for all.
Reinhard.

Volker,
You are one of the superstars of computer chess.
Your energy and enthusiasm helped drive the field forwards
Get yourself a rocking chair, something cool to drink, and sit on the porch, admiring the sunshine.

Hi Volker,
first of all, have a great birthday.
Secondly, thanks for all you've done.
And finally, computer chess is very addictive as you will know, so I'm sure we'll see you around.
Thanks,
Graham.

Thanks to all of you!
Instead of replying to each of you I'll let you know I follow Dann's suggestion and enjoy the sunshine. Its incredible 24° here what is absolutely unusual for Oct. 7th at this degree of latitude.
I have to admit the Hyatts, Romstads and Letouzeys are playing in a league I don't belong to so the "superstar" status is a bit to much honor.
However to be retired does not mean to be dead. As already written I'll continue to read and post here and elsewhere.
