RobboLito and the Rybka Forum

Frayer said this in the Rybka - forum.

[SNIPPED by Moderator Roger Brown]

PS: RobboLito is downloaded over ***** times by now.

I would imagine that most if not all of the members here also visit other fora (after all, they must take a break from the high quality stuff served here now and again) so they can read in detail what was said there and elsewhere.

Personally, I think that there are aspects of this that are fascinating but there is sooooo much of it elsewhere that we really want only breaking news here.

Please do not repost on this topic or protest.

Just move on to the next subject.

I think that any number for downloads is severely off. Even if you were not initially interested in the engine - which described me - the noise and hype surely changed that in a hurry.

Moderators please delete this thread. There is already enough of this stuff at the TalkChess forum. No need to contaminate this forum as well.

I agree! This thread has nothing to do with Winboard.

I would plead for a specific forum that deals with 'clone discussions'. It is important that there is room to discuss these matters, however they shouldn't take over this forum.

As the forum owner, I find the Ippolit/Robbolito topic very boring.

I'll let Roger moderate this thread as he likes. It seems nobody wants to reply seriously anyway.

Dear all,

I would ask the members to report posts by using the exclamation symbol in their panel.

Writing please delete is not an effective means of communicating your desires.

That having been said, the offending post has been moderated.

I really do not think that more can be said here than has been said elsewhere.

Well, actually I do but that more ought to be of a higher standard than simply to report what someone else said or thought. More here, in this Forum, ought to lift the discussion rather than re-hash it.
