I would recommend http://www.file-upload.net as a filehoster.

This 'mediafire' thing is rather inaccesable when yousing a browser with-
out scripting capabilities/or when 'browsing' the web is understood as not
beeing nagged.

Anyway, thank you for providing us with binaries!

Hi Alex,

Sound good, but big problem is files will be wiped after a period of inactivity.
I cannot live with this.

From the faq .............

regards,
Jim.

Hi Jim,

the files will stay on the server for at least one year* - after that, a periodically (60 days) access of the file is requested for not going to be deleted.

This seems to be a bit better than mediafire:

"Mediafire free accounts are restricted to uploads of 200 MB per file and files are deleted if they are not accessed every 30 days."

As you don't link directly to the files, I suppose that you use such an account.
However we don't know whether their service can be offered that long :-)

Greetings

yes, seems better, but I've yet to have any of my files deleted at all with Mediafire since I opened an account about
a year and a half ago. Some of my files have not been accessed for many months. This was not the case with other providers.
This is the only reason I stay with them.
