Custom "Save Game as" browse dialog location in xboard

Postby Sacolevas » 08 Dec 2011, 21:53

Hello, I am using a Linux operating system (with LXDE as desktop environment) and have installed xboard 4.5.2. And I have the following question: When I press Ctrl+S to save a game in xboard, I would like to see the "Browse Dialog" to start in a predetermined folder and not the "home" folder. The reason is that I store my games in a different partition (because it is shared by Windows and Linux) and the process to go from "home/username" to "/media/ ..." is a bit cumbersome in that browse dialog.

In Winboard, I have have my games autosaved in a specific folder and everytime I open or save a game, the first location I see in the browse dialog is that folder I want. In xboard, even if I also have my games ausosaved in the same folder, the "browse dialog" always start in /home/username.

Thanks for your attention.
