I'm looking for a polyglot book version that sits between a Uci-pgm and uci-gui.
Is there such version?
I find some dead links only.

Polyglot does that. Not sure from exactly which version, but for a very long time already. So any recent Polyglot would do.

Really :o
I stopped chess programming 2008 so my knowledge seems to be quite outdated

Thank you! :D

Where can I find a recent polyglot for windows?
All I get is old versions and dead links.
The latest I can find for windows is 1.4w and that is certainly not uci to uci.

There is a Polyglot Windows executable included in the WinBoard install, which can be obtained from the other form section. The source code of this version can be found at http://hgm.nubati.net/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi ('learn' branch).
