How to run epd test suite under Linux ?

Hello,

I need to test engines with an EPD file containing a lot of positions.
From this page http://support.stockfishchess.org/discu ... line-linux
I read :

EPD test-suite capability

A sort of match mode where one engine automatically does a number of 'games', (using a position file filled with EPDs as starting positions), except that each >'game' lasts only for one move, and the 'result' is then computed by XBoard depending on if this move was the correct solution specified in the EPD.

I don't understand how to proceed. I have Xboard 4.7.3

Thanks.

Not sure where you read that, but the link you gave sees to discuss something totally unrelated.

In fact XBoard was only equiped with EPD capability yesterday: see http://www.talkchess.com/forum/viewtopi ... 33&start=0 .

You fully answered my question about epd test at talkchess.com.
Thank you.

OK, I see. It was on the XBoard home page under projects we solicited help for. Well, that project is now realized! The EPD feature will be included in the XBoard 4.9.0 release.
