A bug in homer

Postby Tony Thomas » 25 Aug 2006, 21:09

I am playing 1/1 tournament like Voker, Marc Lacross etc..and I saw homer 1.1b3 losing a game on time. I turned off arena and copied the debug of homer for the last move, I think. Here it is, sorry if it has already been reported. Homer was in a lost position by the way.

Could you please post the pgn and a bit of the debug before too?
It is obvious already from your snippet that it was not a simple
time loss, but either an illegal move or a wrong promotion.
It could have been as well an error in Homers opponent or in
Arena itself too.

I would say it was an illegal move since homer didnt have any pieces in b1. Here is the PGN. However, I do not know how to clean it up.

Thanks for the bug report :)
Well, this bug is known in Homer 1.1 beta3. It happens sometimes under some special conditions and only concerns queen promotions.
It's an error on the move stack. So Homer rejecting this opponents moves.

Best,
Daniel
