game goes wrong

Hello

There is a game on the Internet at:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZGkfUM8OiY

but when I copy the game to the clipboard and load it, Winchess says there is an illegal move on move 11

But something strange already happen on black's move 6 where a white knight just disappears off the board although it is not taken

At this point, Winchess throws up a big yellow circle that "explodes"

The game continues a bit on Winchess when another yellow circle explodes and then the game cannot continue.

My problem looking at the moves (given below) is that I don't understand why things start to go wrong on move 6 in Winchess. The move made is legal so what is causing the white knight to disappear although not taken

1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 d5 4.Nc3 c5 5.e3 Nc6 6.a3 dxc4 7.Bxc4 a6 8.O-O b5 9.Ba2 Bb7 10.d5 exd5 11.Nxd5 Be7 12.e4 O-O 13.Bf4 c4 14.Re1 Re8 15.Qd2 Bc5 16.Bg5 Be7 17.h4 h6 18.Bf4 Bc5 19.Bc7 Qc8 20.Nxf6+ gxf6 21.Qf4 Nd4 22.Nxd4 Bxd4 23.Rad1 Bc5 24.Bb1 Bf8 25.Re3 Bg7 26.Rg3 Kh8 27.e5 Qe6 28.Bf5 Qe7 29.Rd7

Can someone help me to fix the above moves?

As the game is incredible, it is worth a watch on YouTube anyway

Thanks in advance for any help

I suppose that when you say 'Winchess' you mean WinBoard.

It sounds like you have set WinBoard for playing Atomic Chess, rather than normal Chess. In Atomic Chess pieces explode when they capture, destroying all adjacent non-Pawns as well. Use the New Variant menu dialog to select the proper variant before you paste a game. Because you are pasting just a move sequence, and not a full PGN game record, there is no indication in the pasted data what variant it concerns. So you have to set the proper variant by hand before.

Thanks. That seemed to be it. As I used paste from clipboard, I did not think that my settings from a previous sessions would change anything

That depends on what you paste. When you paste the PGN record of a game, it specifies whether it concerns a game of orthodox Chess, or another variant. But when you just paste a bunch of moves, there is no way to know for WinBoard which variant it is dealing with. So by the lack of instructions do do otherwise, it just stays in the variant it is currently in. This way you can paste moves-only games of any variant, by just swicthing WinBoard to the desired variant first.
