Winboard autoplayer under x64 system

Hi all

I tried to use Winboard232c by Eberhard Boerger under my Win XP Pro x64 system, and it doesn't run (device not ready). Other softwares can use the COM ports, so they are working. I tested also Winboard232c on an x32 system, and it works.

Please could anybody confirm that it doesn't run under x64 systems ? Are there any solutions ?

Olivier

There have been some posts on CCC about this recently - and I think the answer was it simply won't work

Thanks for the answer Tuvoc.

What a pity ! So the winboarders need such a tool, since x64 systems will become the norm sooner or later. If anybody wants to try to write the tool, I will be happy to test it.

Another solution would be to include an autoplayer feature in Winboard itself.
