I believe the commercial Fruit is able to mate with B+N,
even without tablebases, but I don't remember exactly now.

Anyhow authors often leave some 'features' out(or bugs in)
in their free versions and fix them only later in their commercial
ones. Remember free Rybka and List e.g.

I have seen most engines resigning in K vs KNB endgames. Good thing Aristarch didnt resign, saved it half a point. Also, I remember Vincet Diepveen saying that he used to bet with people that he can mate them under 40 moves in that position and thats how he made money while he was in school.
