Slightly OT: Great plugins for Firefox
Posted: 21 Oct 2006, 17:55
Sorry for the 2nd OT today. Maybe I open an off-topic subforum .
I found 2 great plugins for Firefox. One of them makes using bulletin boards as this one much easier, the other is a powerful advertisement blocker which makes it very easy to block certain ads, specific graphics, an annoying avatar (you can make my face disappear and all other graphics from my side are still present!).
The first is BBCodeXtra which turns complicated formatting in different types of forums to a piece of cake.
The other is Adblock Plus. You see the difference immediatly after installing. It's highly configurable. Some websites I only visit with that extension active. Installation takes a few seconds after one click.
regards
Volker
