Confused with Atlas 2.20- Help Appreciated

I am running Atlas 2.20 thru chessbase gui. It says it is UCI or Winboard, but it wont load the exe, so i have to use the adapters to convert it from Winboard to UCI. But the problem is when you check in "Processes", there is no exe listed as there is with all other winboard converted engines. Only the uci.exe is listed, and it seems to be getting all the memory, which BTW is a paltry 18 or 20 hash. Where is the main engine exe and why isnt it showing up in processes? And what is the maximum hash that Atlas uses. Thanks in advance. George

Atlas only uses around 28MB for hash. I dont use adapters so I cant answer other questions. However, I would like to take a stab at some of the questions, the UCI version of atlas is named atlas220uci and it should be in your folder, 168KB, you dont have to use any adapters for that. The WB version is 180KB. If you are missing the UCI version, download again.

I think your stab was on target, Tony. I was evidently confusing the uci exe, thinking it was the adaptor. How stupid of me. But Atlas is struggling to use 20 mb hash, more like 18mb. That just doesnt make much sense. But thanks for your help. George

I have had experience with engines using only 1 or 2 MB in the beginning of the game, then after about 10 moves are played, they use the amount I want it to use or in Atlas's case about 28MB.
