BTW, when you don't know which engine was cloned, how can you tell it's a clone?

Thanks Gábor! Patriot has been added.
My information was gathered from web searches. Many of the engines were identified as clones, but I couldn't find which engine they were based on. For Patriot I remember that it was a Crafty clone.

Hi Ron,
I can see Patriot appeared on your list. However, the cloner is from Belarus, not Russia. BTW, I have mixed feelings about including the cloners' nationality in the list - it may suggest that their country is also guilty.

I think the last version of Patriot (before it was uncovered) was 'Fruit' based (identical pv output if I recall).
Jim.

or was Patriot first a Crafty clone and then a Fruit clone?
