GrandPQ.pgn update

I released an update to my GrandPQ.pgn collection. It contains 239K long time-control human-human games, from 1981 through 1998. The previous release was half the size.

The download is 40M and broadband is recommended.

The collection is strongly filtered. Removed are rapid, blitz, blindfold, simul, exhib, corr, computer, email, duplicates, etc. Pgn errors were fixed.

The download link is at Jim Ablett's site:

What does GrandPQ stand for?

Grand because that means big. And PQ for being a "prequel" to an existing collection named Grand07.pgn which has games from 1999 through 2006. The "07" well, that doesn't make much sense and I forgot the reason for it.

Now the name of my utility collection "40H" has meaning, to me anyway. It makes me feel younger when I see my age in Hex.
