Neophyte chess engine : working compile needed

Hi all

Love affairs with buggy engines are a real pain :)

Neophyte is here : http://sourceforge.net/projects/neophyte/

The compile that comes with the package looks broken.

I was using a compile by Dann Corbit, which was working fine under Arena. But since I changed for Winboard, it does not play anymore. It will still play against me, but won't move (or play only 1 move) against an engine. I am using Winboard 4.2.7_x together with PSWBTM.

Ah I forgot... the problems appear only with black. Dann's compile still works fine with white vs another engine.

Hi Olivier,
can you send me the Dann exe to test under ChessGUI ?
Thanks,
Matthias.

Hi Matthias

It seems your online.de address does not work anymore.

If I filter the "go" command with inbetween, Neophyte will play with black... but not with white :)

Hi Olivier/Matthias,

Working exe (fixes playing as black under Winboard) :D

Modified the 'go' command a little bit to get it working. :)
One bug down - nine hundred and ninety nine to go !:

Jim. :

Hello Jim !

You did it as usual :) Yes it works fine under Winboard.

Neophyte is still buggy forever indeed, but this is another question

Hi Olivier,
I thought you would use my forum adress : mgemuh_at_yahoo_dot_com.
Anyway, I have the file now.
Thanks,
Matthias.
