Turns out Arasan 8.2 had a serious bug in the UI - "take back" move and then moving forward (with the navigation buttons or by making a move) could cause a crash. This showed up in both Winboard and the native UI. I have fixed this and also made a few other minor changes, and released Arasan 8.3. See http://www.arasanchess.org.

Changes in Arasan 8.3:
1) Small king safety change in eval
2) Fix for crash on make move after "undo" in UI.
3) Some misc. code cleanup.

It is nice to see that you sill work on it. Arasan is one of the older chess programs around. I wish Phalanx was also being developed, too.
