On webpage http://republika.pl/nesik/download.html
you can download Marek Strejczek's Master of thesis:
"Some aspects of chess programming"
His program Nesik won third place in Polish Computer Chess Championship and second place in uniform category.
I believ it can be helpful for many chess programmers.
Best Regards

I quiickly read the whole thing and think it is an excellent overview with enough information to get one going! I would have used it and still may for some of the things I have yet to implement in GES.

Thanks

The paper is magnificent.

For a general overview of as many different ideas as possible, it has no match that I know of.
