alpha-beta bug

Postby ZangChess » 12 Jan 2005, 16:02

Here's Zangchess again with the noobie questions!!

I have a simple alpha beta code ripped from
http://www.seanet.com/~brucemo/topics/alphabeta.htm

The thing is, when a search is done at 1, 3 , 5 or 7 ply it returns the "best" move for the side to play.
When a search is done at 2, 4, 6 or 8 ply it returns very strange moves that are in my humble opinion the "worst".

Has anyone experience with this?
