Board Representation

Hi all, I am a computer science student--emphasis in programming, but I am relatively new to programming. One of my favorite past times is chess, and so naturally I enjoy reading about chess programming. Enough about me, on to the question.

Can anyone point the way to a decent article about 0x88 board representation?

I am not near able to program an entire engine, but am comfortable modeling the board--I have created several different representations, but am really interested in the 0x88.

Thanks

Got to the front page of the winboard forum here:

and scroll down to find a lot of programming links. However, I will point out the interesting ones for you:
(a) http://www.brucemo.com/compchess/programming/index.htm
General description of a chess program + description of 0x88 board.
(b) http://www.cis.uab.edu/hyatt/boardrep.html
Discussion of chess board representations (including 0x88). This link is a must read before you even start your program.

What will happen again if you don't change it in your profile.
