Command line tournaments tool

Postby Klaus Friedel » 07 May 2006, 13:08

I'm looking for a tool to play engine - engine tournaments without GUI.
The faster the timecontrol the more time is spent in GUI output and engine startup.
At fixed depth tournaments at lower depth this time exceeds the time spend in playing by far (up to 10 times).

Has anyone created such al tool already ?

My program NOW has a command line option, but it then has to load a program, load the game file, calculate a move, wite ut the nex game file then start all over with the other program. Probably no faster than a GUI. I intend to try to make it UCI compatibale in the next few days just to be able to use the nice tournament GUIs.
