I have a Diep version for DOS. I am registered user of Diep !
The version with number 1.58 is not so strong comparable to SOS, Comet, Patzer or a lot of other WinBoard engines. I think 2300 - 2350 ELO ! Diep is very slow and the problem of Diep is the endgame and opening !
But Diep is strong with the night or bishop in the middle game. Very good in open middle game positions with a lot of material (in my bad english) )
Vincent is a strong chess player and gave her engine a lot of knowledge.
When Diep in Paderborn get 2-3 points is this very good for Diep !
But this are my impressions of Diep but I played not enough games with Diep.

And I speak about the 16Bit DOS version and I played with an AMD K6-2 380 last year with Diep.
Vincent say that this proecossor is not good for Diep and the Windows and new versions are better in the endgame. Maybe 2400 ELO )
