Test transmission - TLCV + Arena

Postby Olivier Deville » 28 Oct 2004, 17:48

Match ETChess - Amateur currently running at :

IP 83.153.20.228, port 16043

Time control 40/5, 10 games, running on Arena 1.092

You need TLCV http://www.zeta.org.au/~tommy/tlcv.html in order to see the broadcast.

Please tell me if everything is going correctly.

I see some people are connected. Unfortunately TLCV lost track of the moves :(

Please try still the usual features of TLCV after the first game is over.

Transmission ended.

Too many problems, I'll check this with Tommy.

Game Amateur - BremboCE running, same IP.

Seems that the problems happen only with some engines (ETChess and Zappa so far).

Stay tuned, I'll broadcast some random games, always on the same IP.

I followed it until some seconds ago. Some observations:

- You wasn't there (or at least invisible)
- The names of the engines disappeared from time to time
- Observed an enormous delay between the games (~4 minutes)

Thanks for the feedback Volker

The delay was because TLCV lost track of the moves.

The only game that was correctly broadcasted was Amateur - Brembo. And I was not there simply because I don't know how to broadcast and connect at the same time (same port number).

:D

Thanks for the hint, Volker ! Last time I tried to broadcast games, this option was not there. Tommy is really doing a great job.

Some engines are not working correctly here with TLCV. There is no hurry, I'll report every issue to Tommy, and I'll be back to broadcast when most problems are solved.
