Ant_2005-C opening book bug

Postby Jim Ablett » 31 Oct 2004, 23:05

Ant_2005-C.exe wont read current opening book, neither will older A/B versions. (ant_nbook.rar)

console mode says: 'Bad line: book: 1 entries read'

It reads older small book in standard text format ok.

Do you have both BBook.ant and Book.ant (empty) in your Ant folder?

Hello Leo,
I've just checked..... I did'nt have book.ant - replaced it.

Now have book.ant (0 kbytes) and bbook.ant (6415 kbytes) in Ant folder.

Now get this from console ..

'reading ./book.ant
book: 0 entries read'

Oops! My mistake. Ant doesn't load it's book into memory, when first it's run, so first it reads:

book: 0 entries read

it loads/reads the book on it's first move.

Me:
b2b4

Ant:
reading .\bbook.ant
e7e5

Mystery solved! (for me anyway.)

Thanks for your help,

Regards,

Jim.
