Jonny panics as second engine in Winboard

Postby Anonymous » 27 Aug 2005, 23:51

Jonny 2.82 always resigns as Black. I don't know if this is a known bug. No problem playing as White.

An example:

[Event "Computer chess game"]
[Site "CLIENTE2"]
[Date "2005.08.27"]
[Round "-"]
[White "Comet B.68"]
[Black "Jonny 2.82"]
[Result "1-0"]
[TimeControl "300"]

1. e4 e6
{Black resigns} 1-0

Winboard.debug file:

Hello Telmo,

The problem is not Jonny, but your resign value
in the settings file ;)
The value must be in _centi_ pawns, I guess you have
resign 6 or 8 or sth in it instead 600 - 800 or whatever.

//settings for output behavior
showCurrentMove=0
resignValue=800
writeLogFile=1

:?

You are right! The included jonny.ini file had resignValue=0 that I assumed meant never to resign. I edited the line, putting resignValue=9, if I remember it correctly.

Thanks for your clever help. :D
