Postby Fermin Serrano » 09 Nov 2008, 15:30

Hi,

My chess teacher is interesting in find a few engines which let him personalize the evaluation vars (personalities). What strong engines can do that in a reliable way?

Hi Fermin,

Jim Abblet did a version of Toga II with personalities, it is based on version 0.93 and know that is each parameter is easy if you know a little bit of Fruit and English.

http://homepages.tesco.net/henry.ablett/jims.html

Fruit 2.3.1 also has enough parameters to configure, but I did not understand many of them.

Also Prodeo and Crafty, there are versions of these engines with different personalities, for example, mimic the style of great players, although in this case can not be changed as many parameters as the first case that I commented.
Best wishes,

Fruit Toga II Personality file

Only lines with hash in front are read.

Remove a HASH and you'll get a CRASH!
Dont remove them.

Missing values will also cause a CRASH!

Jim also created a Romichess with personality file. I believe Jim still has a compile of a Mike Byrne created Crafty 2004 SE on his website.
What more can I say?
