Arena and Tornado on ICC works fine.

but engine information and ICC information are conflict, and no kibitz option i can found, that is important for CCT tournaments.

the reason that i want to use Arena on ICC is that not need polyglot adapter, because ponder ploblems on winboard and less engine infos.

How to transfer all the engines from previous version - short of reinstalling all? Just copying arenaENG.cfg works?

Use this.....

http://www.exactachess.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&op=getit&lid=106

....since its Christmas.

Overwrite your current Arena installation with that.

We will not conduct support here.

We have a bugreport/question form at the Arena website.

Our new (and old...made new) fora will be open for both viewing and writing soon. There you will be able to discuss.

Merry Christmas

You can create your own custom command buttons in Arena for ICS use. Click the "Options" button and go to the "Define buttons" tab.

You can right click the area where the buttons are also, and choose the Talk menu. In there is the Kibitz command.

New tournament dialog is slightly broken. I can't see filesystem browsing controls... Stretching window does not help :(

Image

The same effect presents in all 1.99 betas, but in 1.1 it was OK...

I have:

1) deleted all older Arena installations
2) cleaned up all Arena registry entries
3) reinstalled Arena 2.0 from Arena 2.0 Setup (18 Mb)

Nothing changed.

Thank you Christopher for your screenshot. I realize pretty well how this dialog _should_ look. But I have no idea _why_ does it look wrong on my machine, and where can be any possible reason for this...

I will appreciate any constructive advice how to _investigate_ the problem.

Hi Vladimir,

What Windows version and screen resolution do you have?
Do you perhaps use fonts bigger than normal?

Hi Guenther,

OS is WinXP SP3, screen resolution is 1600x1200 and font size is _probably_ bigger - accoring to recommendations from the manual to my LCD Samsung monitor. I can give more detailed information when I come back home from work...

I was just wondering if it's something to do with Russian. I look at many places and everyone who had this problem seems to be Russian.

Is that a clue? Character set? Something like that? I must admit it stumps me so far.

Anyway, screen resolution/font size does not explain mix of English/German words in menu items and checkbox names...

that is for sure the wrong language file as the German has been replaced in the new version. Still does not explain the lack of file browse buttons although...

Having a think about it for you.
