To those of you who have visited CTF and voted NO in the poll there to support me, thanks. I appreciate it very much.

Regards, Graham.

Really ?

Graham has to stay banned before you decide CCC has been taken over by a bunch of morons ? I don't know what this is all about since I stopped visiting there, but isn't the action (banning Graham in this case) enough to make your decision ?
Your remark sounds a bit like "if you keep hitting me, I will start to dislike you"

Face it, CCC is a victim of this time.

It's just like raising kids, the economy and a democracy. It should be too precious to give every idiot a chance to have a say in it.
They just fuck up and continue on to the next: Pyramid games, the Hitler Jugend etc. Basicly anything the rest of the sheep will go.

And they get away with it. Because they use the classic defense "Yes, but the other people did it as well" and the other sheep will say "Yes, that's true"

Certain people just add volume, not quality. Not a problem, but don't let them make decisions that can ruine it for the rest.
Problem ( as always) is that with too much volume, quality gets outshouted. Mostly initialised by 1 to 3 head sheep, and followed by a bunch that claim the right to follow an idiot and fuck up.
After all, it's a free world !

Hi Tony

The new CCC moderation team is very much OK in my opinion. The problem is the CTF moderation team.

CTF moderators banned Graham from CTF, and as a result he got banned from the whole board.

Something weird is happening to the internet in general.
My beloved news:comp.lang.c has become so infested with trolls it is barely worth reading now. And the small amount of legitimate content is hard to find within a great sweltering sea of insipid spam.

Makes us old codgers long for the good old days.

That is sad to know. That is where I really learned C a decade ago. In almost every single post there was something to learn. There was another moderated comp.lang.c, but the traffic was much slower.

It doesn't seem to be limited to the internet lately.

It seems that freedom as well, is too precious to have everybody have a say in it.

Very sad.
