New board and new features

Postby Guenther Simon » 24 Jan 2009, 12:45

Hi Olivier,

I guess the new board is a reaction towards the hack attack? So far I can say it looks good to me,
though it probably will need some time to be customed to. BTW I noticed already that we now have
the possibilty of 'ignoring' users. I never thought that I would need this feature here, but it changed lately
and thus I am happy to be able to ignore a very trollish anonymous person who somehow managed
to register here.

Olivier is not around. He asked me to do the update. See here http://www.open-aurec.com/wbforum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49900

Thats a very good feature indeed. The user you mean is on my personal observe-list.

BTW: my postings are even ignored without such a tool.

Hi Guenther

I am around now, and I am even able to read the forum again :) The default style was almost impossible to read for me, but the Glass Cyan theme is perfect.

It is true that the first motivation to upgrade was the security issue, but I am very pleased with the new software. Volker did a very nice job.

The anonymous you are referring to is under a close watch by the admins/mods team.

Hey Olivier,

If it is not too hard, would it be possible to install the subsilver2 theme? I don't like the look of the v3 themes, but subsilver2 makes it pretty close to the old theme. :D

Hi Zach

I broke the subsilver2 theme during my attempts to get a better style for myself :?

...but it is fixed now, hopefully. Subsilver2 is available.

Looks great for me! Thanks for the quick update. 8-) As you point out in the other thread, the logo is a bit squished, but it looks the same way in Glass Cyan. I don't really care though...

Adjusted. It has to be a little downsized. Otherwise the design is broken.
