Subsilver2 theme added

Postby Olivier Deville » 28 Jan 2009, 20:41

Some people were longing for this theme from phpBB 2.

I hope the display is correct. Possibly the Winboard logo needs to be adapted.

Hi Olivier,

Thanks for making the subsilver theme available again. I also like it best. I believe though,
the fonts should be enlarged by 1pt.

In the new style you can resize the font size yourself. Is it not possible in subSilver?

I don't see any possibility in my user profile for editing the font size.
(and I looked all categories and board display options up...)
BTW this is also true for the default style. Can you tell me where
you think it should be or if it is not there at all?

Yes, its on the main page upper right corner in the default style, but it is only availabe in the default style.
I tested in Ubuntu, XP and Vista with Firefox and the font size seems OK for me but that seems to be a matter of taste. In addition even "n pixel" look different in Windows, Mac and Linux, therefore it is hard to find a setting which is OK for all. In Firefox just use <STRG ++>.

Yes, font size is little small but actually Ok. I think you could increase the size by clicking View->Zoom in via Firefox, I know you'd have to do that each time you visit the page but that's the way it is, unless there's the fix for the forum.

Ok. Now I see it at least for the default theme on the right side, but IMHO it is a bit hidden because there is not much contrast between a white 'A'
on a lightblue background and moreover it is not very selfexplaining. Anyhow it is not what I thought it could do for me after your first post,
because I assumed it would be a user option which will be remembered of course. Actually it does the same as I can do in most browsers myself
and need to do each time again, if I use a certain site. As a user option it would be more useful.
Well, I guess I can live with zooming up the text each time I open the forum, may be I even return to default style ;-)
(Except Olivier would enlarge the font size himself in the subsilver theme)

Meawhile I think the bet place for discussion the styles is the phpBB styles forum:http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewforum.php?f=74. The guys over there are really very good at that issues.
