Plisk should play just fine as black. It plays on FICS under Winboard as well as under Arena when I test home. Is it possible you can give some more info? Like under what interface? Also I think there was a bug early on with 0.0.5 when ran under Winboard as a second program (-scp). I think I fixed that. Would you mind trying the new version (0.0.6)?
Regards (and thank you for running it)
Vlad.
Hello Vlad,
Sorry for the late answer and too less details until today, but the last two RWBC rating tournaments contained so much bugs, that I didn't
find the time yet to post all of it in details. I guessed already that you probably tested most of the time under Arena or with different
time controls, from the kind the bugs are. The WB implementation in Arena is not 1:1 to WB, which gave some programmers already some headaches,
also there is a bug in Arena, when it allows programs to exceed! time by a slight margin and it seems Plisk does this too as UCI.
I summed all up in a new post in the tournament forum also for all other bugs of other engines in 2 recent tournaments.

http://www.open-aurec.com/wbforum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=50256I guess the games will be uploaded later in the evening to my site. (BTW by accident I added 200 MB main hash to Plisk, when I let it play as
UCI from round 7 on and just later saw that 100MB was the max value)
Just for the record again, the games were played (as usual) on a Quad 8200 with 2.33GHz per core on XPSP3 32 bit, only single cpu allowed,
ponder off, around 256MB hash - totally 350MB allowed, tc = 40moves/15minutes under a recent WB version modified by HG Muller.
(which means Polyglot adapter for UCI programs, therefore Polyglot log added for Plisk for the bug in UCI mode and WB debug for the bug
in WB mode)
