PS: I just saw that you store 'button' options in the ini-file (e.g. Show Solution=<empty>)!?
IMO that makes no sense at all, because buttons have no values (to store) and cause only an action when they are clicked.
I guess on Windows these savefiles should go into some subdirectory of Documents and Settings.
Oops. Yes of course that is a bug. I will fix it ASAP,
and maybe a prefix PG_ might also be a good idea
I think it would be better to use the engine's directory (or just stay with the current PG folder),

Probably on Windows this is a less of a problem though.

It seems to send commands for every defined 'button' type to the engine at startup, so for ChestUCI there are 3 Notepad windows opened automatically when it is started.
Writing everything into 'Documents and Settings' (without giving the user the choice) is one of the most annoying Windows 'features' IMO - only writing all settings into the registry is even worse.
H.G.Muller wrote:Oops! The version I patched to test saving of ini files had exactly the same bug. (I guess that is what you get for not testing with Chest... )

I am not sure how this dual settings files work.
My problem is that with Persistence on, if I call Polyglot like that, and it saves on PG_fruit.ini on exit, next time I call it the same way it would not automticlly reload the options.
